Accomplishments

  • King was elected mayor of Bee Cave in 2020, after serving as a City Council Member for 7 years, and re-elected in 2022 with a landslide 74.6 percent of the vote. She ran again in 2024 unopposed. 

  • As mayor, she has emphasized conservative budgeting, infrastructure planning, and open communication with residents.

Under her leadership:

  • Bee Cave maintained one of the lowest property tax rates in the State of Texas while operating with a surplus budget.

  • The city earned its first AAA bond rating and launched multiple public-safety and library projects.

  • She represented Bee Cave during litigation related to the industrial distribution development near the city, advocating for strict adherence to the law and environmental safeguards.

  • In 2025, she spearheaded the formation of and began service to the Bee Cave Historic Preservation Committee to help protect the city’s long-term character.

  • Bee Cave became an officially certified International Dark Sky Community protecting and preserving our views of the night sky.

  • Bee Cave was designated as a “Bee City, USA”


King's leadership style is collaborative and pragmatic. She focuses on fiscal discipline, infrastructure maintenance, and maintaining Bee Cave’s community character while supporting responsible growth.
